After the weekend at the cabin, the boys still wanted to go fishing some more, so we stopped in Fairview on the way home and bought some nightcrawlers and went up to Gooseberry Reservoir to see if we could catch some fish.
The boys gave it a real try for a while, but it was just not a good day. When we arrived, there was a thunderstorm brewing and the wind was howling. It appeared like we might not even be able to get out of the car and try, but then it sort-of passed, but the wind just lessened and didn't go away. It had stirred up the water so much close to shore that it was a little murky.
We finally decided to go down to the stream below the dam and try a pool down there, since we could see fish feeding on the surface. The boys tried and I tried, but the fish didn't seem to be interested in what we were offereing, even though they continued feeding.
Eventually, I tried a pool a little further down the creek and did manage to hook an land one really nice rainbow for everyone to see and touch. Then I let him go back in the creek to catch again another day.

We had fun and the boys want to try again, so we will have to find someplace where they have a good chance of catching something.
