I am so lucky! This is my view from the deck of my home many mornings as the sun is about to come up. We were pretty adamant that the tree in the left foreground "had" to come out. We will probably still remove the dead portion, but it does make for a great composition. Lehi, Utah, USA, September 25, 2013. f/5.6, 1/60 second, ISO 500.

Lehi

If you spend a lot of time photographing sunsets, you know that more often than not, they arrive and fade into oblivion without there ever being that "ahah" moment you are looking for. Once in a while, you manage to capture that moment. Once in a very long time, the moment lasts for minutes and you can capture several at one time. This is the first in a series of 4 shots of such an evening made possible by the smoke from another wildfire! Lehi, Utah, USA, August 16, 2013. f/18, 1/200 second, ISO 200.

This is the second in a series of 4 shots of such an evening made possible by the smoke from another wildfire! Lehi, Utah, USA, August 16, 2013. f/11, 1/1600 second, ISO 200.
